TGA legislation and regulations

Dr Sabrina Mohammed performs TGA approved non-surgical treatment. These treatments are often referred to as cosmetic, aesthetic, beauty rejuvenation and anti-ageing treatment, however it important to note a number of these treatments are medical procedures.

TGA has suggested to ask the following questions during your consultation.

Question 1: Who will be performing my procedure?

Dr Sabrina Mohammed is a registered medical doctor with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), she will undertake all procedures at Dr Sabrina Aesthetics clinic.

Question 2: How much experience do you have in this type of procedure?

Dr Sabrina will be performing all non-surgical procedures including cosmetic injectables.

Sabrina graduated in 2007, she completed her training in several specialities including medicine, surgery, paediatrics, emergency medicine and general practice in the UK. Sabrina practices as a GP and Cosmetic Physician in Sydney.

She embarked her cosmetic training in 2015 and continues to upskill to bring the latest advancements to her patients and clients.

Question 3: What product will you be using? Is it approved by the TGA?

Identifying the name of the product will allow you to search the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) on the TGA website, to make sure TGA have approved that product for your procedure.
Dr Sabrina Mohammed is a prescriber and will only use products approved by the TGA.

Question 4: What are the risks associated with this procedure and what level of aftercare will you provide?

As with any procedure, there are associated risks that the prescriber, Dr Sabrina will explain to you and will support you after the procedure if you experience any side effects.
